Febe Fernandez, MA, LPC
Practice Owner/Therapist
I am Febe Fernandez, MA, LPC. I have a bachelor's and master's in psychology from West Texas A&M University. I have been a mental health therapist for over 6 years. During this time, I have worked in private practice and at different levels of inpatient/partial psychiatric hospitalization. My time in private practice has given me expertise in treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, relational issues, and behavioral disorders of children, teens, and adults. Through my work in the hospital setting, I have developed skills in crises management of psychiatric emergencies, assessing, group therapy, and substance use disorders. My orientation to treatment relies heavily on concepts of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. However, I do incorporate aspects of useful approaches like Client Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychoeducation, and Play in Therapy (for children and teens). Lastly, I have proudly lived in the culturally rich city of San Antonio for the last few years.
Desiree Alvarado, MA, LPC
Therapist
Desiree obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of the Incarnate Word in 2009 then went on to get her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University San Antonio in 2015. As someone who was raised in a military family and subsequently became a military spouse, Desiree is well versed with the military lifestyle. This has afforded her to live in numerous states, travel the world, and gain experience with diverse perspectives.
During her free time, Desiree cherishes being a mother to her daughter, traveling to the instillation to spend time with her spouse, as well as enjoying events with family and friends.
Personally and professionally, Desiree had to overcome many obstacles to meet her goals of becoming a mental health provider. It is for this reason that she developed an inclination and passion towards assisting others to meet their own goals within therapy. The populations and communities that Desiree treats include: Adults, teens, couples, and families faced with Autism spectrum and related diagnoses (as she is a former ABA therapist), those affected by disabilities, military, elderly, LGBTQ+, communities of color, various religious affiliations, serious mental illness, depression, anxiety, trauma (proudly trained in prolonged exposure therapy), and substance use. This expertise and training makes Desiree skilled in treating a variety of issues and well equipped to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate the types of approaches best suited for each client.
Best of all, coming from a diverse background allows Desiree to maintain the holistic and humanistic perspective while remaining nonjudgmental, compassionate, and empathetic as a clinician.

Frankie Jenkins Jr., LMSW
Therapist
Frankie is the newest clinician to join The Reset Space Counseling Solutions, PLLC. When asked to write a little about himself for our website, Frankie sent the following to introduce himself to all clients seeking a good match for a therapist:
I am Frankie Jenkins, LMSW/Therapist. I have a bachelors in Psychology from Texas A&M San Antonio (2016) and a Master of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio (2021). I have been a Mental Health Therapist for over 2 years and am supervised by Jackson Wiggins LCSW-S. I currently serve in the United States Air Force Reserve on Lackland AFB. I have been in the military for approx. 14 years. The military created, for me, vast opportunities to see the world and meet diverse people along the way. Thanks to this, I have great appreciation for people of various backgrounds and at different states of life.
I spent my college social work internships working with the elderly in a rehabilitation center and working at an inpatient psychiatric facility with a specific focus on military/veteran care. Furthermore, my professional career has been spent in both, private practice and inpatient psychiatric hospital settings. Private practice has sharpened my skills within therapy addressing relational issues, marital problems, self esteem challenges , anxiety, and depression. In addition, my time in inpatient treatment care has been spent working on group therapy for substance abuse issues and other mental health challenges. My approach to therapy centers deeply around Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). However, I do use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy within my practice of counseling.
I began my journey to become a clinical social worker/therapist because I wanted to be of service to those who need a helping hand. Through my experience of conducting therapy, I’ve found that the willingness to have deep meaningful conversations delivers intense healing. Therefore, I strive to create a safe space for all clients and always provide quality care to all my clients. I hope that you will consider me as your provider as it is always an honor and privilege to get to be a part of someone's self development and path to well being.
